Three things PPC Sherpa handles for you

PPC Sherpa finds what is costing you money and applies the fix once you approve it. It watches your account between audits and turns the results into reports you can send to clients.

Finds

Every check quantifies the dollar impact. You always know what each issue costs.

Finds

Every check quantifies the dollar impact. You always know what each issue costs.

Search Term Waste. You're paying for clicks from people who will never become customers. Google's broad and phrase match types pull in irrelevant queries that burn through your budget silently. PPC Sherpa analyzes every search term, flags the ones wasting money, calculates the annualized cost, and applies exact-match negatives when you approve.

How we calculate this: uses actual cost data from Google Ads, scaled by Google's search term coverage ratio, then annualized.

Live

Pinned Ad Copy Detection. Pinning RSA headlines blocks Google's ad combination testing. Your ads show the same version every time instead of optimizing for each auction. The result: lower CTR and higher CPC.

How we calculate this: compares CTR and CPC of pinned RSAs against unpinned RSAs in the same account, then multiplies the CPC premium by click volume.

Coming Soon

Bid Strategy Misalignment. A campaign with 40 conversions per month sitting on Maximize Clicks is leaving money on the table. A campaign with 3 conversions per month on Target CPA doesn't have enough data to optimize. PPC Sherpa evaluates each campaign's conversion volume and goals, then recommends the right strategy.

How we calculate this: compares actual CPA against similar campaigns on a better-matched strategy, multiplied by monthly conversions.

Coming Soon

Quality Score Diagnosis. Every Quality Score point below average means you're paying more per click than competitors on the same keyword. A keyword at QS 3 can cost nearly double what it would at QS 7. PPC Sherpa doesn't just flag low scores. It tells you whether the problem is your landing page, your ad relevance, or your expected CTR, and what specifically to fix.

How we calculate this: uses industry-standard QS-to-CPC curves and multiplies the per-click savings at a target QS by monthly click volume.

Coming Soon

Search Term Cannibalization. When two of your campaigns match on the same search query, you're bidding against yourself. Google happily charges you more for it. PPC Sherpa identifies every overlapping search term and recommends negative keyword cross-lists to eliminate the self-competition.

How we calculate this: sums the cost of duplicated search terms in the lower-performing campaign, spend going to the wrong campaign at an inflated CPC.

Coming Soon

Ad Copy Analysis. Three of your headlines have never been shown. Two descriptions have a 0.2% CTR. Underperforming RSA assets drag down your entire ad group. PPC Sherpa evaluates asset-level performance and writes better alternatives using your actual business context.

Coming Soon

Extension & Asset Gaps. Missing sitelinks, callouts, and structured snippets lower your ad rank. Lower ad rank means you pay more per click to hold the same position. PPC Sherpa identifies every gap across your campaigns.

How we calculate this: estimates the ad rank improvement from adding missing extensions, modeled as a CPC reduction. Labeled as an estimate.

Monitors

Continuous monitoring catches problems the same day, not weeks later.

Budget Pacing. You're 80% through your monthly budget with 12 days left. Or you're underspending by 40% and leaving leads on the table. PPC Sherpa tracks daily spend against monthly targets and alerts you before the damage is done.

How we calculate this: projects your current daily spend rate to month-end against your actual budget and shows the projected overspend or unspent amount.

Coming Soon

Spend Drop-Off Detection. A campaign that normally spends $85 a day spent $3 yesterday. Paused by accident. Billing issue. Depleted shared budget. Whatever the cause, PPC Sherpa flags it the same day so you don't lose a week of leads before anyone notices.

How we calculate this: compares daily spend against the trailing 7-day average. The gap between expected and actual spend is the dollar figure.

Coming Soon

Conversion Tracking Health. Broken conversion tracking is the most expensive silent failure in PPC. Every dollar spent while tracking is down is fully wasted because your bidding algorithms are flying blind. You might not notice for weeks. PPC Sherpa continuously monitors your conversion action firing rates and flags anomalies within 24 hours.

How we calculate this: totals ad spend during the period tracking was broken. Catching it a day sooner cuts the waste figure to a day of spend instead of weeks.

Coming Soon

Performance Anomalies. Your CPC spiked 40% overnight. Your conversion rate dropped by half on Thursday. PPC Sherpa flags statistically significant changes in clicks, CPCs, conversions, and cost, and diagnoses what changed in your account that caused it.

How we calculate this: multiplies the metric delta by volume against a rolling statistical baseline, not an arbitrary percentage threshold.

See what PPC Sherpa actually catches

Common issues PPC Sherpa identifies and the specific fixes it recommends.

01

Auto-Applied Recommendation Reversal

Google silently applies certain "recommendations" to your account without asking, then buries the change where you are unlikely to find it.

The Problem
3 auto-applied changes found in the last 30 days
  • A keyword match type was broadened without notice
  • A budget increase was auto-applied to a stagnant campaign
  • No alert sent and no approval requested before either change went live
High severity
The Fix
Every auto-applied change surfaced with its cost impact
  • Each change matched to the exact recommendation Google applied and when
  • Dollar impact estimated for every change since it went live
  • One click reverses the change back to your original setting
Fix ready to apply
02

Search Term Waste

Irrelevant queries consuming budget with no conversions. One of the most common and most expensive issues in Google Ads accounts.

The Problem
Multiple campaigns show budget going to irrelevant queries
  • Queries like "free" and "DIY" trigger ads but never convert
  • Budget draining to zero-conversion searches every day
  • No negative keyword list in place to block them
High severity
The Fix
Negative keyword list built and queued for approval
  • Specific negatives identified and scoped to correct campaigns
  • Each negative matched to the irrelevant query that triggered it
  • One-click approval applies the list directly to your account
Fix ready to apply
03

Pinned RSA Copy

All three headline positions pinned to fixed assets. Google cannot test combinations, which is the entire point of Responsive Search Ads.

The Problem
Ad Strength: Poor on affected RSAs
  • All 3 headline positions locked to a single asset each
  • Zero headline combinations Google can test or rotate
  • Performance locked in; no CTR improvement possible
High severity
The Fix
Unpinned alternatives drafted for your review
  • PPC Sherpa flags which pins are hurting vs. intentional brand pins
  • Unpinned headline alternatives drafted from your actual ad copy
  • You decide whether and when to test them
Draft ready for review
04

Bid Strategy Misalignment

Campaigns with enough conversion data to qualify for Smart Bidding still running on Maximize Clicks or manual CPC.

The Problem
Campaigns eligible for tCPA still on Maximize Clicks
  • Sufficient conversion volume to unlock Smart Bidding
  • Manual bidding leaving efficiency gains untouched
  • CPA likely higher than it would be under target bidding
Medium severity
The Fix
Target CPA bid strategy queued for your approval
  • Target CPA calculated from your account's historical data
  • Campaign switched to Smart Bidding after you approve
  • 2-week learning period flagged; CPA tracked before and after
Fix ready to apply
05

Missing Ad Assets

No sitelinks, callouts, or structured snippets across key campaigns. Missing assets reduce Ad Rank and expected CTR.

The Problem
0 of 4 minimum sitelinks, callouts, and snippets
  • Ad Rank penalty from missing required asset types
  • Ads showing smaller with less information than competitors
  • Estimated 10-15% CTR reduction from incomplete asset coverage
Medium severity
The Fix
Full asset set drafted and queued for your approval
  • Sitelinks, callouts, and snippets drafted for your vertical
  • All assets reviewed by you before anything goes live
  • Uploaded directly to Google Ads after your approval
Fix ready to apply

You are always in control

PPC Sherpa identifies issues and recommends fixes. You decide what gets applied. Nothing touches your account without your explicit approval.

1

Scan

PPC Sherpa checks your account daily across all active check categories. Each scan is a fresh read from the Google Ads API.

2

Identify

Issues are ranked by projected dollar impact. High-impact items surface first. Each issue includes the specific account element, the problem, and the dollar estimate.

3

Recommend

For each fixable issue, PPC Sherpa generates a specific recommendation: the exact change it proposes to make, the expected outcome, and the projected before/after metric.

4

You Approve

You review each recommendation and click Approve or Skip. You can approve all at once or review individually. Skipped items are saved for later with your reason.

5

Applied

Approved fixes are executed via the Google Ads API immediately. A confirmation with the exact change made is logged to your account history. Metrics are tracked from that point forward.

Nothing happens to your account without your approval. PPC Sherpa requires explicit confirmation for every change it applies. You can also revoke write access at any time and use PPC Sherpa in read-only mode to get recommendations you implement yourself.

Common questions

Is my data safe?

Yes. PPC Sherpa uses OAuth 2.0 to connect to your Google Ads account, which means we never see or store your Google password. We read only the campaign data needed to run your audits. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell or share your account data with third parties. You can revoke PPC Sherpa's access at any time from your Google Account security settings.

What permissions does PPC Sherpa need?

To analyze your account, PPC Sherpa needs read access to your Google Ads data: campaigns, ad groups, keywords, search terms, ads, assets, and conversion settings. This is the minimum required to run checks and generate recommendations.

Write access is optional and only required if you want PPC Sherpa to apply approved fixes automatically. Without write access, you still receive all recommendations and can apply them manually in the Google Ads interface. You can grant or revoke write access at any time from your PPC Sherpa account settings.

How often does PPC Sherpa check my account?

Full account scans run daily. Performance anomaly monitoring runs continuously against a rolling 7-day baseline. Budget pacing checks run twice daily to catch off-track spend before it compounds. Weekly summary reports are generated and sent every Monday morning covering the prior week.

Will PPC Sherpa make changes to my account without asking?

Never. Every single change PPC Sherpa proposes requires your explicit approval before it is applied. The workflow is always: PPC Sherpa identifies an issue, recommends a specific fix, you review and approve or skip, then the approved fix is applied. There are no auto-apply settings, no background changes, and no exceptions. You can use PPC Sherpa in read-only mode indefinitely if you prefer to apply all changes yourself.

Does it work for agencies managing multiple client accounts?

Yes. The Freelancer / Small Biz plan supports up to 5 accounts, and the Enterprise plan supports unlimited accounts. Each account has its own wasted spend total, issues queue, approval history, and reporting. The dashboard gives you a cross-account view so you can see the total dollars at stake across your entire portfolio at a glance. Client-ready branded reports and team access are included on the Enterprise plan, with branding options confirmed at launch.

What ad platforms does PPC Sherpa support?

Google Ads is the supported platform at launch. Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads) is on the roadmap for a later phase. Social ad platform support (Meta, LinkedIn) is being evaluated but is not currently planned. If you need a specific platform prioritized, note it when you join the waitlist.
